Kate Martin: Proprietor, Treasure Hunter, Styling Maven

I love the anticipation of what fabulous finds will be uncovered in yard sales, dusty New England barns, funky junk and antique shops and flea markets. The treasures that make their way back to the shop range from circus posters, beaded 60’s tops, vintage china to church pew benches…but it only comes home if I love it! I’ve styled shoots in snow shoes in the winter, with goats in the spring, impending thunderstorms in the summer, and farm fields in the fall.

The roads I travel on are always fun and inspiring. And I can sure get creative in the shop when it comes to making special pieces. Thank goodness I’m  married to a carpenter who can build custom creations that start with an idea and a sketch or sometimes just an old piece of barn board I come back to the shop with after some treasure hunting.
